Ok Tumblr, you heard me… this is it.

I am packing in my tumblog after two and a half solid years. I would have to say that it is one of those it’s not you it’s me situations. You have been good to me Tumblr, but the honest to god truth is that I simply don’t get the same enjoyment out of tumblogging that I used to.

I also feel that blogging in the fashion that I currently do has become repetitive, stagnant, predictable, and uncreative.

Hear me loud & clear on this one: This is not the end of brown.dudevice.com, this is merely the end of my time at Tumblr. So, to all who read my blog? I will simply be going away for a while, but I will be returning better than ever.

Sprengjuhöllin opened for the Mates last night, and they were actually a really good time! I don’t know how much I could actually listen to this band, but they put on a really good show. Here is a brief synopsis of the band: They are from Iceland, They were top of the Icelandic charts for 27 weeks straight? Their name loosely translates into “Bomb Castle” or “Explosion Palace” in English… They had a flag with the picture you see above that they waived around a lot, There was a segment of their set where they tried to educate the crowd as to the correct pronunciation of their name; SPRENG-GOO-HOAK-EN They single handedly have the sweatiest bass guitar player ever.. their set wasn’t even intense! I believe his problem must be glandular. They consider Toronto to be The West Coast

Go see Girl Talk (epic pop/dance-fest dj/bringer of glory), go see Attack in Black (folk-rock/punk/indie masterminds from Welland, Ontario. One of my favourite bands ever) or to go see Owen (Mike Kinsella: acoustic guitar prodigy/heartfelt songwriter from Chicago, IL. Also one of my faves!)
