Paul Doppelgangersgaard-Brown
It’s actually not a doppelganger at all. It’s just a black football player from St. FX that I always get mistaken for. This happens most frequently when I meet a friend of a friend who’s initial reaction is something like this:
**Shaking Hands**
New Acquaintance: “Hi, Gregory Sampson, nice to meet you…”
Me: “Likewise.. Paul Brown..”
New Acquaintance: “WHAT! Paul Brown from X!?!”
Me: “Ya! that’s righ….”
New Acquaintance: “Waaaaait a minute. Paul Brown was black.”
Me: “Ya, and not to mention 7 feet tall, 280 pounds, starting D-Line for the St.FX football team..”
New Acquaintance: “So who are you then?”
Me: “Paul Brown.”
New Acquaintance: “Ok?”
