Sprengjuhöllin opened for the Mates last night, and they were actually a really good time! I don’t know how much I could actually listen to this band, but they put on a really good show. Here is a brief synopsis of the band:
They are from Iceland,
They were top of the Icelandic charts for 27 weeks straight?
Their name loosely translates into “Bomb Castle” or “Explosion Palace” in English…
They had a flag with the picture you see above that they waived around a lot,
There was a segment of their set where they tried to educate the crowd as to the correct pronunciation of their name; SPRENG-GOO-HOAK-EN
They single handedly have the sweatiest bass guitar player ever.. their set wasn’t even intense! I believe his problem must be glandular.
They consider Toronto to be The West Coast
